 Meet the Directors

Picture
Kylee Nguyen is our fantastic director. She has a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Early Childhood. Kylee has two children that attend Early Horizons.  In her words she, "can't imagine having my children at any other school." She has enjoyed being a part of Early Horizons’ quest for excellence with each passing year.

Nito Labrador is our wonderful assistant director.  Nito holds a degree in Psychology. He has worked at Early Horizons for 11 years, first as a classroom teacher (he has worked in every classroom) and most recently as School Age Coordinator.

The Directors hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and appointments are available from 5:30-6 p.m

Our Teachers

Picture
At the heart of our program, there are specially trained teachers to guide and encourage your child. Early Horizons’ teachers are chosen not only for their experience and training in early childhood education, but for their warmth and enthusiasm as well. Our teachers respect each child’s need to experience the joy and challenge of doing things themselves; because that's what helps children excel, and that's our mission at Early Horizons.  Every month we honor a teacher, meet some of our recent Teacher of the Month! winners.

 Our Beginning

Picture
Early Horizons was established in 1984 by Shelly Bokman and Sue Leto Cole. Both women hold Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Child Development. Together they recognized a need for quality care and education of young children, as well as support for their families. Since 1984 each has had three children of their own, allowing them to know first hand both the challenges and joys of parenthood. In addition, Shelly and Sue publish Sacramento Parent Magazine, a monthly resource for families living in the greater Sacramento area, and Dandelion, a special needs magazine serving Bay Area families.
